Over the last few weeks, we have seen a flurry of bills filed at the NCGA. Some will pass, others will fail, and still others will change significantly before adoption or demise. The veto and the override will provide some high drama, and we will get lots of opinions and name calling before the dust settles and the legislative session ends. The only thing that is certain is that neither sides of the uniparty are working for you.
We give so much attention to lawmakers, expending energy to worry about power we have abdicated to them. Remember, the real power lies with us, the people. Politicis is a team sport, and the politicians are never on our team. Yet we willingly continue to support a system that is rigged against us. It doesn't have to be this way.
That’s what leadership means in the LPNC. It’s not about dictating from the top or playing political games to cling to power. Leadership is about listening to you, empowering you, and working tirelessly to protect your rights—because we’re not here for politics, we’re here for people.
No one needs to dedicate their entire life to this fight, either. Little things make a big difference, especially when we all do them. Come to convention in May and make your voice heard. Become a monthly donor at just $10 and help us grow the movement. Run for a local office, even you don't think you can win, to force the other candidates to take public positions on Liberty issues. If we all did what we could to push back on the excesses of a system that has been corrupted into a money laundering scheme for elected officials and their big donors, the system would crumble in days.
Every year, we continue to elect the government, and they continue to make things worse for us. It doesn't matter if they're wearing a red or blue suit when they do it. The uniparty had its chance, and it failed miserably. We know that they will keep expanding government overreach, whether it’s through roadblocks, surveillance, or the war on drugs that turns victims into criminals. They’ll keep propping up corporate welfare while our privacy erodes and our tax dollars vanish into their pet projects. The uniparty thrives on division and control, and if we don’t stand up, we risk losing the very freedoms that define us as Americans.
But I’m not here to dwell on doom—I’m here to talk about hope. The LPNC is growing stronger every day because of people like you, who believe in a future where government serves the people, not the other way around. I see that future every time I meet with our county affiliates, every time I hear from a new candidate ready to fight for liberty, and every time one of you steps up to volunteer or donate. The real America—the one built on individual responsibility, voluntary cooperation, and respect for each other’s rights—is alive and well in our movement.
So let’s seize this moment. Join us at the convention in May, bring your energy to the silent auction and basket contest, and commit to doing whatever you can—whether it’s running for office, fundraising, volunteering, or spreading the word. Together, we can build a North Carolina that leads the way for liberty, not just in our state, but across the nation. The uniparty wants us to feel powerless, but we’re anything but. Let’s show them what real leadership looks like—leadership that works for you, the people. Sign up today, get involved, and let’s make 2025 the year liberty triumphs!
